Fuzion HRI Tire Review
Well the Kumho 711's that came with my tire package have already been replaced. They did not even make it past the 20K mile point even with proper tire rotation, so I decided to shop for a new set of tires. After reading several positive reviews, I decided to settle for the Fuzion HRI Tires. They seemed to be a good set of tires for an affordable price and I found several online sites that had reviews and had these tires in stock.
I was aiming for a good all season tire. The Fuzion HRI has a tread rating of 400. These tires are geared toward performance and have really good tread wear. The area that I live in has light snow in the winter times, so I wanted something that could handle that, but also handle some speed on dry / wet road conditions.
Car Safety For Children
Children spend many hours in a car each week. In carpool to and from day care or school. On quick trips with Mommy or Daddy to the grocery. Drives to playdates, the park, and many other places.
How can you ensure your child's safety while in a car?
The first and most important way you can protect your child while in a car is by making sure he or she is sitting securely in his seat. For an infant that means sitting in a rear-facing car seat. They should remain in a rear facing infant seat until they reach 1 year of age and weigh 20 pounds.
Once a baby is over one year of age, it is time for them to move into a convertible car seat. They should still sit rear-facing, until they become too tall for the seat in that position. The car seat can then be 'converted' to a forward facing car seat. Your toddler or preschool age child should remain seating in a front facing car seat until he or she is about 4 years old.
Dangers of Eating While Driving
Like stopping off at the dry cleaners, post office, or bank, the majority of Americans will make a daily stop at the local coffee shop or drive-thru for a quick beverage or fast meal whenever they find the time. While the car used to be considered only a means of transportation, it has quickly become a personal work space, comfort zone, and a kitchen for many consumers. In fact, the number of cup holders inside a car can often be the tipping point for many car buyers even if it means a few extra dollars on the price tag.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that eating while driving is even more dangerous than driving while using a handheld cell phone. Some of the most dangerous foods to consume while operating a motor vehicle include chocolate, jelly-filled donuts, fried chicken, barbeque, tacos, soups, and open-container drinks. All of these can potentially distract the driver and cause a serious accident.
